@liamoc I visited University of Canberra too! Annoyingly I only noticed many many cars and completely full carparks but not Kangaroos. Maybe I will notice Kangaroos next time I pay attention to them.

Government bill plans to sell and/or exchange 60% of NZ's conservation lands. Please support Forest and Bird's campaign, and you can submit on the bill to Parliament
@liamoc@jonmsterling My fingers feel better now. I get access to another metal chassis laptop. It really hurts to use apple's keyboard. Also apple's sharp edges hurt me from time to time. This non apple laptop has slight round edges that don't hurt me. I guess it is the time I ditch my lowest configuration apple laptop, which is constantly out of memory and lagging despite having double "Pro" ("Macbook Pro M? Pro").
@liamoc@jonmsterling Based on what I heard, I guess some of them are supervising students to supervise LLM.
For students, those llm providers often provide free plans. So there is no financial aspect to consider immediately, but there are still moral, social, and environmental impacts to consider. My group member uploaded a report with hallucinations mixed with facts and I was not too happy.
@liamoc I just explained a similar idea to my family working in physics. I explained to her, how llms work and why llms are not concerned with truth , without knowing this paper. Thank you for sharing this paper
